Today is my full month .. daddy and mummy invited lots and lots of people .. many people came.. so many that I lost count!! I tried to put on my BEST smile throughout the day.. but then, aiyah.. it was so tiring.. so I secretly took some naps in between. Anyway, uncles and aunties took these opportunities to take photos with me.. (ok.. sorry.. daddy did not manage to capture all who came)

This is my cake.. or rather.. those who came, got a box of this. It had a photo of me on it!cute or not??

got lots of presents though.. very very happy...!!! now, which one should I start opening first?? the big big one ?? or the small small one?? (but I am so so tired now!)

Mummy!! stop counting the ang paos and help me open these first!

Jie Jie Ruoying

This is taken from Ruoying jie jie's blog.. This jie jie is my daddy's student when he was doing his teaching practice in Cedar Girls' Sec Sch. She is very nice leh.. she helped daddy and mummy play piano on their wedding night. Now she is studying in the US.. daddy says that place very very far away from where I am staying. But one day I will go there to study too!!!

"Heh. Welcome to the world, It, the No-name-Baby (but the last I checked, its Gerard. =))You said HI (or rather, cried Hi...ok, except that it didn't sounded like a Hi...I imagine it was more like a ear piercing WAAAAA) on 26th November 2005 to 2 loving parents, Terence & May.

(Background info: I got to know Mr Terence Yeo thru his NIE stint at Cedar. May and him got married in 2003 and I played the piano during their wedding banquet.)

It was at Marche this summer when Mr Yeo dropped the bomb on us, the unsuspecting diners...'May is pregnant.'. We promptly dropped our knives and gasped 'WHAT?!'. We weren't that shocked that they're expecting a baby cos its often the natural step after 2 years of marital bliss, it was shocking cos he waited so long (4 months) to tell his close friends (not me la...Ms Fiona Tan & Ms Esther Chiam). You ask me how can anyone contain the excitement of the expectance of their first child? I tell you I don't know It, I don't know....your father's response was 'Cos you never ask wad...' WHAT?! So we're supposed to annoy the hell outta you by asking whether your wife's pregnant every weekend isit?

Anyway, it was July then, and now we're in November, you finally popped out.I think your parents must be very proud of you, cos now we can celebrate Baby's First Month on Boxing Day! OH...and you're very smart eh, you managed to squeeze out a mth before ONE DAY after Christmas ( so liddat hor, people have to give you a christmas present AND a man yue present....cannot combine... DUI MAH?! unlike my friend Aunty Angie Tan who was born on Xmas day... so suay) and before CNY! BABY, NI LI HAI!

OHHH one more thing! Wah your Jiejie Ruoying, i.e ME!..is very smart. I've already calculated for you. You will finish your O levels, A levels ALL BEFORE YOUR BIRTHDAY! Just in time for the celebrations! EXCITING NOT? Oh, a downside...your 18th birthday will come later than most of your peers, so you cannot enter clubs with them but its ok cos you can always borrow someone else's ID!

I can see the gleeful looks on ur parents' faces especially your father's, rubbing his palms together and going 'YES now I can recoup some of my losses during CNY!' I only hope you dun grow up like your father, so kiam siap... HAHHAHA. (just kidding la, Mr Yeo)

Psst.. but really, I asked him earlier whether he's gonna enter you in those baby competitions when you blossom into a cuter lad with more distinguishable features, his reply was a NO at first, but changed his mind when I told him you might win Diapers and Milkpowder!Ya know It, its wonderful looking at your picture, such an angelic sleeping face. Sorta allows us, the grown ups to forget about our own trials and tribulations for a lil bit. Make full use of the time you get to sleep, wail, whine and STILL get compliments cos you can BURP and poop and still be 'SO CUTE!!'. Enjoy now cos you will grow up very quickly and be thrown into the world of adulthood where nearly everything you do will seem to go haywire. But remember not to whine too loudly after your 1st month when the Confinement Lady leaves la k, cos your Mommy will kena very bad.

It, you're lucky to be born to 2 great people whom I believe will be awesome parents. (maybe they can't change your diapers professionally yet, but give them some time and I'm sure they'll improve!) They, I believe will nurture you to the best of their ability and one day, to your fullest potential. And you in turn, will bring them fun and laughter, peace and joy. They are definitely enjoying your presence as much as you will grow up to familiarise with, and love them.Alright la It, I'm signing off now. Ask your Daddy don't be lazy and faster put up your personal Blog so us, jie jies and kor kors can follow and enjoy the lil bits and pieces of your growing up process! (but don't tell him I tell you one hor?) I can't wait to see you! In the meantime, enjoy your new family! =)"

My full month celebration

Everyone is invited for my full month celebration on 26 Dec. Lunch will be served from 12pm onwards. It's just a simple buffet but that's not important right?! You are here to see me!!

I will be dressed up and smelling good to meet you!! See ya there! (you can take bus 900 from causeway point.. or daddy can pick you up on his poot poot bike.)

(Please inform daddy or mummy if you are coming. I have too many things to do and to remember, like finding the best caterer that serves the most delicious milk, deciding the invitation list (I am not attached yet) ... so they have kindly decided to help me.. and I am barely a month old! :))

Daddy and Mummy ....

Meet my folks...

My dad is a crazy guy. He does all sorts of weird stuff. He likes to run, eat, sleep (yes.. he can do that almost everywhere.. on NUS bench, by the river, with a hand on a car for more than 2 days). He does lots of marathons, tris, probably almost anything that will torture himself for hours. Well, maybe it is not bad growing up to be like him.. (*hmmm.. let me think again....)

My mum is more normal but then she is a workaholic. She can spend hours and hours infront of her laptop. When she was having me, she still work and work.. Starts work at 7 am , ends at 10pm. Mummy.. can rest a bit.. you are giving me a headache!!

Anyway, they've made me.. guess I will have characteristics of each of them. Will see how I eventually turn out.. :)
